Baltimore is known for many things. Our sports teams, the Inner Harbor, the National Aquarium, Natty Boh and Roger Waters. (Just to name a few). But you probably don’t know that the first crown bottle caps were made here (the Crown Cork and Seal company was formerly located in the city, but has since relocated the Maryland branch to Essex). Or that things like the Ouija Board, telephone poles, and mass communication all share roots in our beloved city. These iconic parts of every day life, as well as quite a few more, owe Baltimore for their lucrative beginnings.
